VACCINATIONSDogs should be routinely vaccinated against:
Puppy vaccinations can be started from 8 weeks of age and consist of 3 vaccinations, given 2 weeks apart. We advise that your pup is not exercised in areas near standing water – ponds, reens or slow moving rivers until 1 week following its third vaccination. However, they can go out for socialisation after their 2nd vaccination as long as you avoid those areas. Booster vaccinations are recommended every year to keep your dog healthy. KENNEL COUGHKennel cough vaccines are recommended for all dogs but is very important if your dog is boarding in a kennel. This vaccine is usually given intra-nasally (into a nostril) and protects against parainfluenza virus and bordetella bronchiseptica. The Kennel Cough vaccination is free to SCALLYWAGS members. |
