Our team of three permanent veterinary surgeons are dedicated to providing the continuity and high standard of care that we know you expect for your pet. Between them they offer in excess of 35 years experience. If as is occasionally necessary, a temporary veterinary surgeon is employed, they are selected for high level qualification and experience and work closely with our permanent staff to maintain the continuity of care that is so important to us as well as to you and your pet.

	Candy Hill BVSC (Hons) MRCVS Principal Veterinary Surgeon Graduated from Liverpool University in 1988, returning to South Wales as a general veterinary practitioner. Since 1994, Candy has devoted most of her time interest and expertise to small animal medicine and surgery in Caerphilly. She has in this time improved standards of care and facilities offered in this small friendly practice.

	Nora Jaykka- Dixon MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon Nora joined our veterinary team in 2009. She is an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon graduating in The University of Helsinki in 2005.Nora has been working in South Wales since 2007 when she married a Welsh man and made her home in Wales. She has a keen interest in all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery and is a welcome new member of our team. Nora is due to go on maternity leave in December.

	Liz Webster BVSc BSc MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon Liz has been a welcome and valued member of the team, and will be covering for Nora during her maternity leave. She has provided a high standard of medical and surgical care and is well liked by clients and their pets. Her professional interests lie within the small animal veterinary field but Liz also has an equine interest and is a competitive dressage rider.

We have a team of qualified nurses and at least one trainee veterinary nurse along with dedicated reception staff. Our nursing staff are always available to answer any queries you may have regarding your pet's treatment or general health. They offer dedicated Nurse Clinics for minor procedures and advice. Do not hesitate to contact the surgery if you would like to speak to a member of our nursing staff.

	Sian Burrows RVN Head Nurse Sian is a qualified veterinary nurse who has been with the practice since it opened. Sian is responsible for the running of the puppy socialisation evenings and puppy clinics at the practice.

	Carrie Davies RVN Qualified Nurse Carrie has recently joined our nursing team. She is a very experienced veterinary nurse with over 15 years nursing experience within a veterinary hospital environment. We are very lucky to add such experience to our team. Welcome Carrie.

	Kathryn Jenkins Trainee Veterinary Nurse Kathryn is currently undertaking her nurse training and has a keen interest in husbandry and nursing of small mammals such as rabbits and guinea pigs.

	Stella Skelton RVN Qualified Nurse Stella has recently joined our nursing team. In addition to adapting to her new role here at Caerphilly Veterinary Clinic, Stella has just passed her final nursing exams to increase our nursing staff to a team of three. Well done Stella.

	Tracy Stevenson Receptionist Tracy has been a friendly face on reception for over 10 years.

	Sue Hopkins Receptionist Sue joined Tracy on reception in 2006.


	Natalie Horrell Receptionist Natalie has been our Saturday receptionist for many years and I know is a familiar face to many of our clients. Natalie has during her time with us gained a Chemistry degree from Cardiff University and has remained there to complete her PhD.

	Celia Godfrey Administrator Celia has recently joined us to take over the administration for three days a week. She has experience in accounts, administration and IT, and is a primary school teacher on her days away from the office.
