Vaccinations Annual vaccinations are essential to maintain the health of your pet and to aid in the control of otherwise fatal diseases. A free full health check is provided with all vaccination appointments.

Dispensing Within the practice we have a fully stocked dispensary containing veterinary licensed products which we can supply to you if prescribed. If however, you prefer to receive a written prescription this can be supplied. If medication is required on a regular/repeat basis, join our Scallywags scheme to receive discounts on your repeat medications. Please enquire at reception. All repeat medication can be ordered on-line for next day collection (if requested before 3pm). Please use the "contact us" section of this site.

Free Puppy and Kitten clinics Puppy and kitten clinics are offered on a monthly basis following completion of a primary course of vaccinations. It is a useful opportunity to monitor development by examination and weighing. This allows us to give advice on worming, flea control, neutering, diet, training and behaviour and answer any other questions you have regarding your pets early growth and development.

Puppy Socialisation Pups are welcome following first vaccination and is an opportunity to socialise your puppy at an early stage in a controlled environment. The benefits of learning the skills involved in meeting unfamiliar dogs and people at a young age provides for a happy confident pup throughout the rest of his/her life. Contact reception to secure a place for your pup.

Free weighing and nutrition clinics Obesity is a growing concern amongst our pet population. We provide encouragement and monitoring as well as dietary advice for this and other nutritional problems your pet may encounter. Contact our nursing team for an appointment to discuss your pets diet. All pet diets can be ordered on-line for next day collection, submit your request electronically and we will reply with the cost and arrange collection.

A Practice Health Plan A regular monthly direct debit payment to provide for annual vaccinations, worming and flea treatments as well as identichip fitting. ask a staff member about "scallywags "membership

Insurance As a practice aiming to provide a high standard of veterinary care, we encourage you to consider a pet insurance policy which could provide peace of mind should an accident or illness occur with your pet. We can offer advice and information which can simplify the selection of a suitable policy. We can arrange to be paid direct from your insurance company to help with those larger bills - provided an insurance claim form is provided immediately.

Practice Loyalty Scheme We encourage the use of veterinary healthcare products e.g. Flea and worm preparations, annual vaccination, science diets, dental hygiene products and coat care products. The benefits your pet gets from these will speak for themselves but we will reward your purchases with loyalty discounts on future purchases. Please enquire for further details.

Taking your pet on holidays? Our veterinary Surgeons are Local Veterinary Inspectors appointed by DEFRA and hence can issue a pet passport and provide the advice you require when travelling with your pet. Contact the surgery for a fact sheet.

Home Visits An immediate and high level care can be provided for your pet at the surgery and we encourage them to be brought in where possible. It is however possible for us to arrange a home visit within the Caerphilly area if necessary.

Dental Care Free dental examination and advice - please arange an appointment with our experienced veterinary nurses. State of the art air driven dental equipment within the practice to provide your pets with the highest standard of dental care.
